Location.
Mawnan Smith is about 5 miles from Falmouth and forms the hub for the attractions of the North Helford with the famous gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan being only 1 mile away. This area is classified as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ (AONB) and an estimated 250,000 visitors per year pass through the village on route to the gardens and the estuary. The Smithy is located close to the central square on one of the main roads leading into the village. Mawnan Smith contains a pub, restaurant and a diverse selection of shops and facilities. Full planning permission was granted for the re-construction of the Smithy and the building of 3 new workshops to complement it.
The Workshops are located behind the Smithy, a Grade II listed building, classified as a building of architectural and historical interest.
